Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust Mental Health Workbooks

Your head can be a very complicated place

We had the absolute honour to work on the design for a suite of mental health workbooks and guides for Mersey Care.

Covering topics like managing angry feelings, sleep, managing worries and anxiety and exam stress, they are created for primary aged children 4-11, secondary aged young people from 11-18 and their parents and carers.

Using Mersey Care’s children’s services branding, we created printable and interactive PDF versions of each booklet for practitioners to use with young people and their carers. This gives them flexibility to use with the young people in their preferred way.

You can find them here on the Mersey Care website and find out more about mental health services available to your young people.

“I find it a great privilege to work with Mersey Care anyway, but having two teenagers myself, I have experienced how important mental health care is, particularly around anxiety, and exam stress.” Sarah, apt’s co-owner and senior designer.

These are the final school years of the COVID kids, the ones who had bubbles for SATs, or didn’t do them at all. The ones who remember being at home, missing out on their end of year 6 celebrations and who remember starting senior school differently. It has had an affect, even on the most resilient.
